Omar AlShatti

Omar AlShatti is an Instructional Assistant in Computer Engineering with interests in teaching, applied research, and intelligent systems. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from San Diego State University, where he graduated with honors. His teaching experience includes programming, operating systems, digital design, Verilog, and FPGA-based systems. His research interests focus on world models, Joint-Embedding Predictive Architectures (JEPA), and representation learning, with particular interest in developing practical applications of these approaches in computer vision, autonomous systems, and real-world engineering problems.
